The representatives of Belgorod State University won the “Our Pride” Contest of Belgorod Region Citizens’ Achievements.
The “Our Pride” regional contest was held for the third time.
A total of 684 applications were submitted for the contest this year. 17 most worthy citizens were selected, including those who were able to declare their achievements in the profession, sports, science, creativity and public sphere.
The winner in the “Creative Amateur Talent” category was Eduard Biryukov, a representative of Youth Parliament under Belgorod Region Duma, a student of BelSU Institute of Economics and Management. The young man is a repeated winner of regional, all-Russian and international competitions and festivals on vocal skills and performing art.
Vladislav Kidanov, a doctoral student of the Institute of Earth Sciences, was the best in the “IT-Technology” category and Anastasia Adaeva, a student of the Institute of Economics and Management, was unrivaled in the “Volunteering” category.
Irina Ponomarenko, Professor of the Department of Medical and Preventive Disciplines of Medical Institute, was distinguished in the “Science and Innovation” category.
Julia Chemerichina, the Director of MBUK “Officers' Club”, the Head of the “31st Region” vocal group of BelSU Youth Cultural Center won in the “Culture and Art” nomination.
The best in the “Young Leaders” category was Christina Shevtsova, an alumnus of the Institute of Social Sciences and Mass Communications, a lecturer of the Department of Communication Sciences, Advertising and Public Relations. Nikolai Yarosh, a graduate of the Department of History and Philology, being its cooperating partner, took the first place in the “Blogosfera” nomination.
The awards were handed to the winners by Yuri Klepikov, the Chairman of Belgorod Region Duma. He congratulated the winners with the high awards, underlying the specifics of the contest, since it was solely fostered by the public initiative – from the applications submission to voting.
It should be noted that all the awardees received diplomas and certificates for 100,000 rubles.
