Open Volleyball Cup of Belgorod State University Sports Club completed

The open women’s volleyball cup of BelSU Sport Club was held at the sports ground of Svetlana Khorkina Educational and Sports Complex of Belgorod State University as a part of career guidance events.

The volleyball players of Korochansky District Children’s and Youth Sports School, Belgorod District Children’s and Youth Sports School, Belgorod Sports School of Olympic Reserve №2, Belgorod Region Sport School of Olympic Reserve №2, Yakovlevsky District Sport School of Olympic Reserve and also the combined team of BelSU Engineering College participated in the tournament.

According to Vladimir Rudenko, the Director of Belgorod State University Sport Club, the teams were divided into two groups, and then were matched due to the results of the group matches.

Following the results of the two competition days, the team of Korochansky District Children’s and Youth Sports School became the winner, the team of Belgorod Region SSOR №2 won silver medal, and the team of BelSU Engineering College headed by Alexander Markovsky won the bronze medals.

Polina Shimbareva was named the best player of the tournament as a member of the combined team of Belgorod State University Engineering College.

The winners and runners-up in the tournament were awarded with a cup, medals and certificates of merit, while the best players received memorable prizes from the Belgorod State University Sports Club.
