The Rector awarded the representatives of the university student’s unions

Elena Tsukanova, the Vice-Rector for Discipline and Youth Policy, and Natalia Eranova, the Director of the Center for Youth Initiatives of Belgorod State University, participated in a casual meeting.

Nikita Negodin, the Chairman of the Russian Student’s Unions of BelSU told the rector about the main activities of the RSO and achievements of Belgorod State University student unions. According to Nikita, the main thing is the team unity and dedication to the work for the good of the Motherland. Then the achievements will not keep waiting long – it is for the second time that Headquarters of BelSU Student Unions raised the banner of the best university headquarters of the region according to the results in 2022. Nikita thanked the university administration represented by the Rector, Professor Oleg Polukhin, for comprehensive support of all the student initiatives.

Young people asked the rector questions about early exams, internships, studies, new educational spaces and volunteering. Oleg Polukhin stated that a student is the main person at the university, and today all conditions have been created for comfortable learning and self-development - in creativity, social activities, sports. At the same time, the emphasis was placed on the university's achievements, including its participation in the federal programme of academic leadership “Prioritet-2030”. According to the head of the university, this will allow the university to reach a new qualitative level in science, education, and the socio-cultural sphere.

At the end of the meeting the rector presented awards to ten most distinguished members of the student unions for their dedicated and essential work. At the end of the meeting everyone was invited for the general photo, but also enjoyed the guitar song telling that youth is meant to realize the most daring dreams and strive for mutual help and kindness.
