Meetings of the Spanish Conversation Club members of BelSU International Student Office are held in the Peoples' Friendship Centre every month for those willing to expand their language knowledge and get acquainted with the Latin American culture.
February meetings entitled as “Spanish Alphabet. Playing Forfeits” and “Your Perfect Date” brought together the university students from Russia, Haiti, Egypt, Jordan, China, Colombia, Equatorial Guinea, Ecuador and Mongolia.
According to Gerreira Perez Saul Santiago, the Head of Spanish Conversation Club, a student of the Institute of Intercultural Communication and International Relations, during the classes the participants learn the alphabet, exchange phrases, sing songs, play games and get acquainted with culture and traditions of Spanish-speaking countries. Young people also receive prizes for winning in the competitions.
According to Olga Lyutova, the Director of Peoples' Friendship Centre, the doors of the Spanish Conversation Club are open to both students and lecturers. Secondary school pupils, planning to enter Belgorod State University in the future, are also welcome to attend the club meetings.
The XII Belgorod UN International Model also took place in the Peoples' Friendship Centre on 14-17 February. The debates are available for viewing in the official group of the student union.
