The XV International Student Scientific and Practical Conference was held at the Institute of Intercultural Communication and International Relations as part of the university’s Science Week.
This year the event brought togethe over 100 representatives from China, Ecuador, Vietnam, Nigeria, Uzbekistan, Afghanistan as well as from different cities, regions and higher educational institutions of the Russian Federation.
Professor Olga Prokhorova, the Director of the Institute of Intercultural Communication and International Relations of Belgorod State University, noted the importance of the conference agenda and wished the participants success in their scientific work.
The participants shared their experience in teaching Russian as a foreign language, discussed the issue of promoting Russian language in the world and intercultural communication and distance learning.
The speakers shared their methodological novelties in teaching foreign languages, teaching professional and verbal communication, getting to know cultures and traditions of different countries. The experience of public presentations was important for young researchers taking their first steps in science.
The main topics of discussion included difficulties in learning Russian by foreign students, tools for their overcoming, innovative technologies application in learning and the role of Russian language in an ever-changing world.
