A youth international scientific conference, dedicated to the issues of pharmacy, chemistry and biology, was held at Belgorod State University.
The “Topical Issues of Pharmacy, Chemistry and Biology” conference brought together over 200 participants and was held in a combined format as part of Science Week. The programme consisted of a number of scientific events, including break-out sessions, scientific seminars, master classes and tutorials.
This year along with the leading scientists and young researchers of BelSU Institute of Pharmacy, Chemistry and Biology, the conference involved students of Dezhou University (China), Belgorod College of Industry and Services, as well as pupils of Belgorod secondary schools.
The speakers presented the results of their scientific research in six break-out sessions: “Horizons of Modern Chemistry”, “Topical Issues of Pharmaceutical Supply of Population”, “Innovations in Mass Catering”, “Current Challenges of Biological Research”, “Problems and Prospects of Modern Pharmaceutical Science” and “Biotechnology and Microbiology”. In addition, some thematic events aimed at practical skill development in research and project work were offered to the participants.
According to Andrey Prisniy, the Director of the Institute of Pharmacy, Biology and Chemistry, this year the conference attracted a large number of participants, thus, demonstrating a high level of interest of young people in science.
The best papers in each section were selected for publication in the final conference proceedings, and all participants and their mentors were awarded diplomas and letters of gratitude.
