“Reading Poetry in Russian” international competition held at Belgorod State University

Vladislav Kuchmisty, the Head of BelSU Preparatory Department and the Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, welcomed the participants of the event. He underlined that true teachers never stayed behind the scene and remained mentors throughout life.

Over 35 students from Belgorod State University, V. G. Shukhov Belgorod State Technical University and Belgorod State University of Economics, Management and Law, participated in the “Reading Poetry in Russian” competition. Students read poems on various themes by poets of different centuries.

In the end, students of Belgorod State University were among the competition prize-winners. The first place was given to Iwossot Stef Amur Emilio, the second was taken by Dassault Samuel, and the third – by Oloyede Silvia Oluwafikayo.

According to the participants, the event contributed to deeper understanding of the world of poetry, expression and melody.
