Yandex.Lyceum graduates awarded certificated at Belgorod State University

The event was attended by Alexey Chernitsov, the Acting Vice-Rector for Education of Belgorod State University, Dmitry Rastvorov, the Director for Relations with Educational Authorities at Yandex Company and Arthur Tarnovsky, a certified tutor for the Yandex.Lyceum project, an Associate Professor of theoretical and experimental physics at the Institute of Engineering and Digital Technologies. Konstantin Polishikov, the Director of the Institute of Engineering and Digital Technologies, moderated the event.

While welcoming the participants, Alexey Chernitsov noted that determination and diligence had been the most important features uniting all the graduates of the Yandex.Lyceum Programme.

Dmitry Rastvorov addressed the graduates, represented by both pupils of secondary school and vocational secondary school, via videoconference. He emphasised that the investments, when made primarily in education, lead to a successful career and personal development. Education in Yandex.Lyceum is free, but students are selected according to their knowledge level.

Artur Tarnovsky explained the details of the programme teaching at BelSU. He underlined its high demand by certain specialists and impact on other skills development and gaining new competences.

Vladislav Nagnibeda, a BelSU student, made a presentation on the Institute of Engineering and Digital Technologies. He explained why he had chosen Belgorod State University for higher education and focused on employment perspectives for students of different fields of study.

The certificates awarding was a significant event for the programme graduates. Mentors wished the young people further success in their studies. After the ceremony the guests were invited to take a tour around Belgorod State University, its classrooms and laboratories.
