Students of Belgorod State University celebrate Youth Day

The event for the city youth was held at “Belgorod Arena” centre. That morning master classes and lectures were held at thematic interactive grounds with the representatives of Belgorod region government, youth leaders and famous entrepreneurs. BelSU volunteers were marked by the Minister of Youth Affairs of Belgorod region at the “Feel the Good” ground.

In the afternoon, the activities were moved to the central square of Belgorod State University. The programme was opened with a performance by the rector's brass band. Evgeniya Karlovskaya, the Acting Rector of Belgorod State University, congratulated the guests on Youth Day. She noted that it was especially important for the youth to unite, talking about Youth Day as a good example of unity of BelSU multinational student community and all the youth of Belgorod region.

University’s on-stage vocal groups performed at Youth Cultural Centre, including “31 Region” band, “Veresk” Art Studio and others. The Student Union organised a Youth Day quiz and a creative workshop to design themed memorable cards. International students held master classes representing their cultures – oriental dance by Musalima Ismailova, the Chair of the International Student Board, a Latin American dance, on knotting arafatka and using Chinese chopsticks, followed by a contest on speedy assembling of a construction set.

The evening program consisted of prize drawing and contests, performance of “Kalibri” show band and Belgorod region KVN team “Blizkiye”. The headliners of the evening show were “Vakhtang” beatbox world champion and Andrey GreezLee, a semifinalist of “Golos” TV-show. The concert programme was wrapped up by a musical set by DJ CHUMEE sound producer.
