Nganya Tony, a student of BelSU Medical Institute, took the second place at the chess competition in St. Petersburg.
Russia-Africa Summit in St. Petersburg, involving the delegations of African countries and Russia, became the venue for a chess tournament. 16 participants represented Russia and Congo at the tournament. As the result of the competition, Nganya Tony, a student of Belgorod State University, took the second place.
The young man won in three rounds out of five in total. As the chess player admitted, he was satisfied with his performance at the tournament, despite the fact that he had failed to take the first place.
It should be noted that next weekend there will be an online chess tournament dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Belgorod liberation from the Nazis.
