The XIV annual Assembly of the Association of Russian Geographers and Social Scientists was conducted in Ulan-Ude.
Within the framework of the Assembly, Associate Professors of the Department of Nature Management and Land Cadastre of the Institute of Earth Sciences of BelSU National Research University participated in the International scientific conference "Modern Eurasia: social geographical analysis". The conference was attended by approximately 200 people from 26 regions of Russia and six foreign countries (Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Kazakhstan, China, Mongolia).
Belgorod State University was represented by Nadezhda Chugunova, Nina Sazonova and Larisa Marcinevskaya, Associate Professors of the Department of Nature Management and Land Cadastre, Candidates of Geographical Sciences. The conference was conducted at the Baikal Institute of Nature Management and SB RAS of Buryat State University of Ulan-Ude with further work with colleagues of Mongolian State University in Ulan-Bator.
There were also professionally oriented guided tours in Buryatia and Mongolia during the conference.
According to BelSU scholars, such events enhance scientists' involvement in regional and international scientific collaborations, which will result in new joint projects and publications.
