Representative of BelSU Regional IP Center took part in the "Intellectual Property for the state and people" XXVII International Scientific and Practical Conference, organized by Rospatent.
Experts in the IP field from Russia, Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Saudi Arabia and other countries took part in the conference. Irina Shevtsova is the leading patent expert of the IP Department at the Regional IP Center of the Department for Science and Innovation. She presented Belgorod State University as a participant of the World Intellectual Property Organization project on the Technology and Innovation Support Centers creation.
The conference participants approached the IP consideration in relation to the country technological development concept, Mrs. Shevtsova noted. Critical and end-to-end technologies, IPI new development prospects, domestic brands and technologies, as well as strengthening intellectual property protection measures issues were in the focus. The international cooperation development for the IP field in the current conditions is a priority at the national, as well the regional level.
Signing of a cooperation agreement between Rospatent and the Association of Innovative Regions of Russia was an important stage of the conference. Today that Association includes 18 Russian Federation regions. The Association provides Russian Federation regions economic cooperation. One type of that cooperation is the technology and innovation transfer. Cooperation with the Eurasian Patent Organization was also discussed at the conference. It was about the possibility to file applications for inventions and register industrial prototypes, obtaining Eurasian patents.
– New knowledge in the law field and the experience shared by expert community representatives is very relevant to us, given that these topics are the most important objective of the country’s economic development, and the technology and innovation transfer is one of our university strategic objectives. This is a definite future-proof - commented Mrs. Shevtsova.
Lilia Gumerova, Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Science, Education and Culture, Yuri Zubov, Head of Rospatent, Grigory Ivliev, President of the Eurasian Patent Organization, Maxim Kolesnikov, Deputy of Economic Development, Vasily Shpak, Deputy of Industry and Trade, Denis Sekirinsky, Deputy of Science and Higher Education, Vladimir Kononov, Ombudsman for Copyright Patent law and Intellectual Property under the Presidential Commissioner for the Entrepreneurs Rights Protection as well as representatives of international patent organization, banks and business were the Speakers at the plenary session.
For information: Since 2012, Belgorod State University has been participating in the international project – network of Technology and Innovation Support Centers launched by the World Intellectual Property Organization in 2009. More than 180 organizations are participating in the project today.
