BelSU international students receive awards at “VIZA” festival

The event brought together six teams from BelSU, MISIS, V.G. Shukhov BGTU, V.Y. Gorin BelGAU, BGIIC and BUKEP.

The festival included a video clips competition, “peoples’ friendship” race, “Man of Peace” quiz, “Music Jam” educational platform and various master-classes.

The video clip by BelSU international students Hussain Kajin and Dakhdukh Waila Abdessalam, guided by Anastasia Petryaeva, a tutor of Preparatory Department, won in the competition. The “Markhaba” team, consisting of the students from Egypt, Iraq, Ecuador, Russia and Turkmenistan, took the second place in “Man of Peace” quiz.

According to the festival participants, everyone was impressed by the master-classes on aqua make-up reflecting the tradition of Latin American holidays Carnival and El Diadelosmuertos, Arabic knitting and making headdresses from Arabic shawls.

At the end of the festival Belgorod State University was awarded a commendation from the Centre for Youth Initiatives for creating conditions, providing the international students an opportunity to deliver their potential.
