NRU BelSU graduate became an Ironman triathlon medalist

The international start of the IronMan 70.3 race series, which gathered more than 1,500 athletes from all over the world, was completed in Belek, Turkey. The participants had to continuously cover 1.9 kilometers of open water swimming, 90 kilometers of cycling and 21.1 kilometers of running. According to the results of the competition, Galina Chetverikova, a graduate of the Faculty of Physical Education of the Pedagogical Institute, became the silver medalist in the women's absolute standings with a result of 04:39:38.

Galina Chetverikova is a multiple winner and medalist of the IronStar series of races, the first absolute IronMan medalist in the Belgorod region. The athlete trains under the guidance of Alexander Pozdnyakov.
