The celebration dedicated to the Day of Protection of Afghanistan's Cultural Heritage took place at the Centre for Intercultural Communication.
The participants of the event were teachers, students of the Institute of Intercultural Communication and International Relations, Medical Institute, Institute of Economics and Management. The cultural event began with a film and presentation on the history and sights of Afghanistan.
Andrei Uryvskiy, Associate Professor of the Department of International Relations, Foreign Regional Studies and Political Science of ICCIR, curator of the Afghanistan community, wished peace to the people of this country in his welcoming speech. Varis Mansur, the head of the community, drew attention to the importance of the event, which is designed to draw attention to the historical and cultural heritage of Afghanistan.
Foreign students performed poems about their homeland. A poem by Soviet poet and bard Bulat Okudzhava "Take your overcoat, let's go home" was performed by an Afghan student, and it has a special meaning - the interaction of cultures.
A quiz on interesting facts about Afghanistan was prepared for the participants. There were also national clothes, dances, cuisine. A special surprise was the famous Afghan plov, which every guest could try.
