Academic partnership is implemented in three scientific fields.
Among BelSU partners, who are involved in development and implementation of the joint doctoral programmes, are V.R. Williams Federal Research Centre for Forage Production and Agroecology, St. Luka Lugansk State Medical University of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, and the Institute of Geography of the Russian Academy of Sciences (IG RAS).
The partners are collaborating in three scientific fields, including plant breeding, seed production and biotechnology, pharmacology, clinical pharmacology, and geoecology.
Three doctoral students of the current academic year are already attending scientific and practical classes of the joint programme at partner universities. This form of training is aimed to improve the quality of research work and academic mobility of doctoral students.
Joint programmes provide some advantages, such as enlarging information and communication opportunities, providing individual access to scientific materials at partner institutions. They will enable to improve students' education by introducing a flexible modular approach to theoretical and practical training.
“Effective scientific and educational partnerships are one of the strategic goals of our university. Joint doctoral training sets an example of the advanced scientific and educational environment based on integration of the participants’ potential and aimed at achieving the goals of the strategic development programme “Prioritet-2030”, commented Nikolay Repnikov, the Acting Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation.
