The Centre for Intercultural Communication hosted an open lecture on “Preserving Folk Culture” as part of the interethnic project of BROO “Guardians of Traditions”.
The event was attended by over 70 BelSU students. The speakers told about the culture and family customs of different countries and peoples in Spanish, French and Russian, made presentations and showed videos for the university students introducing interesting and unexpected facts about the national traditions.
“The event was useful for development of tolerance to other cultures and traditions, as well as for building intercultural communication skills. The next stage of the project will be Interethnic Forum and awarding the participants for their contribution to harmonisation of interethnic relations in Belgorod region”, noted Nabigulla Bagamaev, the Chairman of BROO “Assembly of Peoples of Russia” while addressing the event participants.
In turn, Hidoyat Baltina, the head of Tajikistan student community, said that the open lecture “Preservation of Folk Culture” had enabled students to exchange personal experience and learn new facts about the culture of other countries.
