The event was aimed at improving foreign language skills of BelSU students from different institutes and schoolchildren.
The language festival included master classes in English, Chinese, Spanish, French, Italian, Arabic, Korean, African (Lingala), Romanian, Turkish, German and Serbian languages. The participants could also learn a lesson in Chinese calligraphy. They were involved in adventure games, team games and physical exercises in different languages.
Olga Prokhorova, the Director of the Institute of Intercultural Communication and International Relations, addressed the participants of the festival. Olga Dehnich, the Deputy Director for Research at the Institute, as the idea originator and event initiator, noted that such a large-scale event should have become a venue for popularization of foreign language learning and promotion of BelSU brand.
BelSU Language FEST-2023 program was organized jointly with BelSU Preparatory Department, Peoples' Friendship Center, Mahmoud Darwish Center for Arabic Language and Culture, the Center for Chinese Language and Culture, the Center for Slavic Studies, the Department of Physical Culture, the Department of Pre-University Training and Admission, as well as partners of the university – LingvoStar Foreign Language School and “Mandarin” Chinese Language School.
Mostly active participants were awarded with memorable BelSU prizes and language schools certificates for complementary training.
