International students of Belgorod State University learn about Belgorod region festivals

The event was organised by Belgorod State University in cooperation with Belgorod Tourism Centre and Gubkin Spiritual and Educational Centre “Preobrazheniye”. The meeting was attended by the students of the Institute of Social Sciences and Mass Communications and Preparatory Department.

Olga Lyutova, the Acting Director of Peoples' Friendship Centre introduced the participants to Belgorod festivals: “Belgorod in Bloom”, “River in Bloom”, “Dumplings Festival’, “Soldier's Porridge”, “Belgorod Summer” project.

The participants of the joint excursion and educational events of BelSU and ANO “Preobrazheniye”, held from April to November this year, prepared presentations and videos about the places they visited. Students of the Institute of Social Sciences and Mass Communications told about “Milk Festival” in Alekseevsky district, International Festival of Slavic Culture “Khotmyzh Autumn” in Borisovsky district, “Malanya” in Prokhorovsky district, Interregional Festival-Competition “I am a Russian peasant” in Volokonovsky district and other bright events of the region, which allow everyone to get acquainted with the traditions of Russia and specifics of Belgorod region.
