International students of Belgorod State University donate gifts to children in hospitals on the Eve of Epiphany

The annual charity event was held for the 20^th time in 2023. It was organized by Belgorod State University units – Center for Peoples' Friendship, Center for Intercultural Communication and Board of International Students Communities. The campaign was held as part of the annual Kindness Day, when international students collected New Year and Christmas gifts for young patients of Oncohematology Department of Children's Regional Clinical Hospital, members of “Warmth of Soul” Society of Disabled Children and patients of “Emerald City” Palliative Care Center.

Soft toys, cars, dolls, educational games, coloring books, constructors, puzzles, mosaics, stationery, books, sweet gifts, cover letters, postcards, video messages were collected as gifts.

According to Olga Lyutova, the Head of Peoples' Friendship Center, the quarantine in Children's Regional Clinical Hospital prevented the organizers from handing the gifts personally in to the young patients on Christmas, but they still received them on the Eve of Epiphany. The children treated in Oncohematology Department expressed their gratitude for positive emotions.
