The first International multisport tournament “The Games of the Future” in Kazan brought together over 2000 athletes from different countries to compete in 21 disciplines.
During the tournament, which took place from February 21 to March 3, 24 volunteers from Belgorod State University worked daily at various locations – acted as coordinators for the participants and guests, supervised the vehicles, got engaged in media activities, worked as interpreters.
The delegation of Belgorod State University was headed by Lev Litvyak, a student of Law Institute, and Ksenia Sova, a student of the Institute of Engineering and Digital Technologies.
On the eve of the Games closing the volunteers were visited by Evgenia Karlovskaya, the Rector of Belgorod State University, who joined them to discuss the progress of digital sports at the university.
According to Lev Litvyak, they were lucky to be involved in the team of such a large-scale event. In the course of “The Games of the Future” the young people managed not only to work hard, but also to recreate, meet new people from different regions of Russia and other countries, talk to famous athletes, gain new experience and ideas, which they are ready to share with the representatives of BelSU volunteer community and sports club.
