BelSU scientists made scientific reports at the main scientific forum in Tashkent.
The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Tashkent Pharmaceutical Institute joined Ibn Sino Public Foundation to organise the VII International Scientific and Practical Conference “Abu Ali Ibn Sina and Innovations in Modern Pharmaceutics”. The conference work was conducted within six directions and assumed plenary, sectional and poster reports. The participants were invited to participate in an innovation fair and a competition for young scientists. The forum brought together the leading pharmacy specialists from different countries, who discussed topical issues of pharmacoeconomics, pharmacological research, as well as innovative approaches in new drugs development and standardisation.
Belgorod State University was represented by Professor Elena Zhilyakova, the Head of the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology of the Institute of Pharmacy, Chemistry and Biology, and Daria Fadeeva, the Associate Professor of the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology.
Daria Fadeeva made a presentation on “Modern Approaches to Quality Control of Multicomponent Dosage Forms”. Elena Zhilyakova made a report on “Soft Contact Lenses Study Aimed to Design Therapeutic Systems for Ophthalmological Diseases Treatment” at the plenary session.
The conference was also attended by Roman Nikitin, a senior lecturer of the Department of Pharmacy Management and Economics at the Institute of Pharmacy, Chemistry and Biology, who presented the results of his scientific research on the topic “Pharmacoeconomic Analysis of Hypoglycaemic Drugs Sales in Belgorod Region Pharmacy Chains”.
The conference included a meeting of BelSU scientists with the collegues from Tashkent Pharmaceutical Institute. During the meeting Dilshod Sabirov, a BelSU alumnus and the Deputy Dean of Tashkent Pharmaceutical Institute, expressed his contentment of cooperation progress between both universities, constant exchange of experience between students and lecturers, joint research and work on scientific events, including the latest 7th conference “Abu Ali Ibn Sina and Innovations in Modern Pharmaceutics”. Elena Zhilyakova noted in return that conferences were a very important instrument for development of partnership relations. It is widely applied by Belgorod State University, inviting colleagues and students from Tashkent Pharmaceutical Institute to participate in the traditional international scientific symposium “Innovations in Life Sciences”, which is planned to be held in May 2024.
