BelSU hosted the second graduation of students of Arabic language courses

Elena Nazarenko, Head of the Priority-2030 Project "Creating a favourable environment for interaction between students of BelSU and students of the Arab world" and Mansur Ahmed, Head of the Centre, Ambassador of BelSU in the Middle East and North Africa, congratulated the trainees on successful completion of the course.

This spring 43 people, including university professors and staff, students of different nationalities, schoolchildren and residents of the city of Belgorod, were trained under the programme specially developed as part of the project.

The students noted the high professionalism of teachers El Mhadi Fatima Zohra and Mohammed Mohammed, thanked them for their individual approach, their confidence in the participants and the warm atmosphere at each lesson.

- Studying with a native speaker is an invaluable opportunity for us as we get to know not only the language but also immerse ourselves in the culture. I would also like to thank the organisers of the programme and the staff of the Arabic Language and Culture Centre. They help to create a warm, friendly atmosphere in the Centre, where they always welcome you with Arabic coffee and give you positive emotions, - Olga Lyutova, Head of the Peoples' Friendship Centre said thanking the organisers and wise teachers of the Arabic language courses.

Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages Alexei Kolesnikov expressed his hope for the continuation of the programme.

- I am sure that the next course will definitely help us to improve our skills and further we will be able to speak Arabic more confidently. Arabic language courses are not just about expanding your horizons, but first of all about learning something new and discovering your own abilities, - Alexey Kolesnikov noted.

At the meeting, the guests were immersed in the atmosphere of Eid al-Fitr, one of the most important and long-awaited holidays in the Islamic world, which is celebrated at the end of the holy month of Ramadan. The event presented various aspects of the celebration, from rituals and traditions to culinary specialities. The guests were treated to traditional dishes. It was a wonderful experience that allowed to plunge into the atmosphere of Arab hospitality and warmth of heart.
