A BelSU student won a bronze medal at the International Chemistry Olympiad

The final stage of the Chemistry Olympiad was attended by 525 students from 97 universities of the Russian Federation, as well as Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. Three students of the Institute of Pharmacy, Chemistry and Biology of BelSU represented the university: Igor Tarasov, Sofya Dmitrieva and Sofya Chesnokova. The guys showed the best results at the first stage, As part of which they solved tasks on seven sections of the discipline in the format of computer testing during 3 hours.

According to the results of the scientific competition Igor Tarasov received a bronze medal.

According to Professor Olga Lebedeva, Head of the Department of General Chemistry, Igor belongs to the category of students who manage to do everything.

- He is an excellent student and has been doing scientific work since his first year of study. In the summer of 2023 his project "Development of biomimetic restorative materials for dentistry" received financial support from the federal programme "UMNIK" of the Innovation Promotion Foundation, - Olga Lebedeva said.
