Professors of Belgorod State University delivered lectures at the Tashkent Institute of Pharmacy

Pharmacy as a degree is very much in demand in Uzbekistan. The first enrollment in the joint program at the Tashkent University took place in 2023 after a cooperation agreement between BSU and Tashkent Institute of Pharmacy was signed in last June. The professors of the Institute of Pharmacy, Chemistry and Biology of the NRU BSU will travel to Tashkent to conduct on-campus classes at the partner university. Professors of Chemistry are the first to deliver lectures, as the first-year students of the Tashkent Institute of Pharmacy with a degree in pharmacy have started studying general education disciplines.

Irina Oleinikova and Olga Nestroynaya, BSU professors of General Chemistry, took part in the first trip. They delivered lectures, conducted laboratory works and realized practical classes on the discipline “Chemistry course on biogenic elements”.

The trip was organized with the assistance and constant attention of Kamal Rizaev, Rector of the Tashkent Institute of Pharmacy, and the administration of the International Faculty of the partner university.

“The students proved to be diligent and disciplined, showed a decent level of knowledge; most of them passed the exam successfully. The best students received patches with the emblem of the Institute of Pharmacy, Chemistry and Biology as a gift”, – shared Irina Oleinikova.

The visits of the professors of the Institute of Pharmacy, Chemistry and Biology are expected to be held on a regular basis under the joint academic program. It is crucially important for teaching practice-oriented disciplines.
