Students of BelSU became participants of the medical TV show "Symptoms"

The Symptoms programme is aimed at popularising medicine, and the episodes are released on the Wink.ru online cinema platform. In online format, 22 teams of graduates and students from the country's leading universities have to perform complex tasks, correctly interpret symptoms and diagnose a patient. The show was hosted by a famous Russian urologist, doctor of medical sciences, professor and blogger Alexander Dzidzaria.

The team representing the BelSU Medical Institute included Marina Bondarenko, Kirill Maslov, Adelina Ladygina, Andrey Travenko and Anastasia Dzyuba. The participants were selected based on the criteria of excellent academic performance and activity in the life of the university. They gained enormous experience and tried themselves in an innovative and unusual test format.

- The project gave us an opportunity to test our strength and knowledge in a stressful situation with a real patient. There was also an opportunity to hear comments from experts - leading Russian doctors of various specialisations," shared Marina Bondarenko.

Students highlighted the importance of clinical thinking and quick decision-making in medical specialities.

The project is being produced by ViT Media with the support of The Internet Development Institute. The main prize for which the teams are competing is 1 million roubles. In each new episode the participants will have to face difficult professional questions and interpret a diagnostic case from real medical practice.

On the channel "Pegasius" in "Zen" you can watch an interview with the participants of the medical team. They told how they prepared for the show and solved difficult problems during filming.
