Dezhou University celebrates a new academic year

Teachers, faculty and volunteers of Dezhou University started the new academic session with a warm welcome to hundreds of first-year students and their parents, answered many questions and helped the newcomers adapt to their new academic environment. 7,408 students of all disciplines and majors from 22 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities of China took part in this year’s ceremony.

Dezhou University’s Secretary of the Party Committe Wu Jun and Vice-Rector Jiang Taotao addressed the students their warmest greetings and good wishes. Nadezhda Semashkina who holds the position of Associate Professor of the Department of the Russian Language, Professional Speech and Intercultural Communication, fulfilled her honourable commitment to congratulate all who attended the ceremony on behalf of Belgorod State University and all the overseas teachers working in Dezhou University. She is currently teaching Chinese students full-time at Belgorod Institute of Food Sciences affiliated to Dezhou University.

24 first year students had their birthdays on the day of the freshmen welcoming ceremony. A collective greeting to them also took place on the stadium, with a full 1-meter long birthday cake.

The Secretary of the Party Committee of Dezhou University Wu Jun said in his congratulatory message, that education and science are the foundation for the future success of Chinese students and one of the main social priorities.

‘Therefore, special attention is given to the highest quality and comprehensive process of teaching young people at Dezhou University. The whole environment has been created so that students commit themselves to studies, set ambitious goals and achieve success. For the record: Belgorod Institute of Food Sciences at Dezhou University was created in cooperation with Belgorod State National Research University in 2022. Belgorod Institute of Food Sciences offers high-quality bachelor programmes in Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, and Food Technology and Food Service Activities. The instruction is given in Chinese, English and Russian. Graduates of a bachelor degree receive two diplomas: from both Belgorod and Dezhou universities.
