At educational venues in Tashkent and Samarkand, a teacher from the BelSU Engineering College presented promising developments in robotics and innovative educational technologies.
The Days of Robotics and Innovative Educational Technologies took place at Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi in Samarkand, as well as at several venues in Tashkent. The event was organized by Rossotrudnichestvo and the South-West State University (SWSU).
Students from institutions of vocational, secondary and higher education, teachers and foreign citizens learning the Russian language in Uzbekistan, attended lectures and master classes. Teachers and professionals of higher education from SWSU, Belgorod State University, Moscow State University Nuclear Physics Research Institute named after Dmitri Skobeltsyn, and the Russian State Scientific Centre for Robotics and Technical Cybernetics, a principal robotics research institution in Russia.
Dmitry Goncharov, a BelSU Engineering College teacher, represented the university at the event. He conducted several lectures on wheeled robots and planetary rovers.
‘We’ve been cooperating with SWSU for a long time, organizing joint lectures, and travel to other countries and to share them. Now, SWSU has created an interactive map of Russian universities that conduct training programs in robotics and mechatronics. BelSU is also marked on this map,’ said Dmitry.
He also told that the BelSU delegation arrived in Uzbekistan with the TurtleBro module, a University’s recent purchase for student training. The guests of the event had a chance to see the mobile robotic platform with manipulator equipment that Dmitry had built together with his students at the engineering college.
For the end October 2024, Dmitry’s team is planning a similar trip to Ethiopia. Earlier, BelSU teachers went to Tanzania to conduct master classes on robotics.
