An international round table discussion on cross-cultural communications and economic culture in business partnerships between Russia and China was held at the BelSU Institute of Economics and Management.
Organized by the Department of World Economy at BelSU, the round table coincided with the Year of Partnership announced at Belgorod State University. Elena Kamyshanchenko, Head of the Department of World Economy, highlighted that Russia and China are the largest neighbouring states engaged in comprehensive strategic cooperation. During the discussion, participants presented reports on the cross-cultural aspects of conducting business in China, focusing on projects that hold significant strategic and geopolitical importance for both nations.
A lively discussion followed a presentation by Yang Yuxin, a postgraduate student in the department, who addressed the cooperation between bordering regions of Russia and China and the nuances of their relationships.
Other speakers, including Song Haoze, Zhuang Xinping, and Yang Mingze, discussed the challenges and opportunities associated with implementing joint projects across various industries.
Masters students from the BelSU International Business program, Guo Ziqi and Ho Chuanhao, presented promising business projects within the framework of the strategic partnership between Russia and China, delivering their reports in English.
The event also featured contributions from invited speakers such as Professor Alexander Troshin, Doctor of Economics and Head of the Department of World Economy and Financial Management at Belgorod State Technological University named after Vladimir Shukhov, as well as Xu Zhenpeng, a Candidate of Economics and lecturer who shared insights into the Shukhov BSTU’s experience in implementing joint Russian-Chinese educational programs.
