In honour of the All-Russian Day of the Paramedic, BelSU Medical College held a heartfelt concert titled “My Profession is a Paramedic.”
The event welcomed esteemed guests, including Lyudmila Krylova, the First Deputy Minister of Health for the Belgorod region; Alexey Zhirov, Chief Physician of the Emergency Medical Care Station of the Belgorod region; and Elena Bogdanova, Chief Paramedic of the Central Emergency Medical Care Station.
Lyudmila Krylova expressed her deep gratitude to all those who have chosen to dedicate their lives to helping others through medicine and paramedicine.
“This profession can often be thankless, yet it is one of the noblest pursuits. First and foremost, I wish you good health, as it is our duty to provide assistance and care for others while ensuring we remain strong ourselves,” remarked Krylova.
She also took a moment to commend the college students who answered the call from the Ministry of Health to volunteer, assisting the wounded and regularly providing support to elderly and infirm residents of Belgorod. During the concert, distinguished students and graduates who have made significant contributions to the field of medicine were recognized, along with volunteers who selflessly offer assistance to those in need.
The announcers shared insights into the history of the paramedic profession, highlighting the crucial role of medical personnel during the Great Patriotic War and the ongoing Special Military Operation (SVO). They noted that over four thousand medical workers from the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have received state awards for their bravery in the SVO zone, including one and a half thousand who were honoured with the Order of Courage and the Medal For Bravery. Among those honoured are a number of graduates and students from BelSU Medical College: Ekaterina Ivanova, Olesya Biryukova, Evgeny Dragomir, Ivan Voronov, Regina Belimenko, Denis Zinchuk, Tatyana Motuzova, and Elena Tarasenko.
The event was further enlivened by performances from various creative teams of the Belgorod National Research University, who entertained guests with their musical acts and productions.
