The Landscape Architecture Department at Belgorod State University celebrated the arrival of spring by presenting a stunning display of tulips to the university community.
The Landscape Architecture Department at Belgorod State University (BelSU) specializes in forcing flowers to bloom early in the spring. This year, the vibrant flowers began to bloom just in time for International Women’s Day. The colourful arrangements can be seen adorning the hall of the BelSU building on Pobedy Street, where both employees and visitors are treated to the sight of cheerful yellow and orange tulips, specifically the “Cobra” and “Golden Daichland” varieties.
Marina Evtukhova, Head of the Landscape Architecture Department, explained that forcing flowers to bloom ahead of their natural schedule involves a comprehensive approach. This includes carefully managing temperature and humidity levels, employing specialized agricultural techniques, and simulating extended daylight hours.
