The international competition brought together university students from Belarus, Russia and foreign countries.
In the International Essay Competition, Alexander Shilov, a student at the Law Institute of Belgorod National Research University (BelSU), has been awarded a first-degree diploma focused on “Problems of Compliance with the Norms of International Humanitarian Law in Armed Conflict.”
This competition, organized by MITSO International University in Belarus, in collaboration with the National Centre for Legislation and Legal Information of the Republic of Belarus and the Belarusian Red Cross, attracted university students from Belarus, Russia, and various other countries.
Shilov’s compelling essay explored the application of international humanitarian law in outer space, highlighting the relevance of these norms beyond traditional battlefields.
His research was guided by his scientific supervisor, Alexandros Pasenov, PhD in Law and Associate Professor at the BelSU Department of Constitutional and International Law.
