While most of graduates plan to continue their studies at BelSU, others are set to enrol in various universities throughout Belgorod and across Russia.
A vibrant celebration marked the graduation of 244 students from 39 countries at the preparatory department of Belgorod National Research University (BelSU). The ceremony was highlighted by a spectacular event at the BelSU concert hall, where students reflected on their academic journeys, cherished memorable moments, and expressed heartfelt gratitude to their teachers for their unwavering support throughout the year.
In her welcoming address, Natalia Zhukovskaya, Director of the BelSU Department of International Cooperation, inspired the graduates to pursue success in their chosen fields.
The day’s significance was further underscored by Arsen Martirosyan, Head of the BelSU Preparatory Department. He delivered a moving farewell speech and presented certificates to the most active participants in the department’s activities.
The concert featured a diverse array of performances, including traditional songs by the Otrada folk ensemble, impressive guitar solos from students hailing from Africa and Ecuador, and lively African dance performances.
A standout moment of the evening was a humorous sketch curated by Marina Droga, an associate professor in the Department of Russian Language, Professional Speech, and Intercultural Communication. This entertaining performance revisited the funniest moments of the academic year, showcasing everything from comical language mishaps to amusing situations that unfolded during classes and extracurricular activities.
The celebration culminated in a beautiful waltz performed by students from Turkmenistan, followed by a touching video montage that captured vivid memories from their time at the preparatory department. This served as a fitting finale to an unforgettable evening.
Arsen Martirosyan remarked, “The graduation ceremony at the preparatory department of Belgorod State University was not just a celebration marking the end of the academic year; it symbolized friendship, cultural exchange, and cherished memories that will remain in the hearts of students and teachers for many years to come. We congratulate all graduates and wish them continued success in their future endeavours!”
