The 2nd Russian-Kyrgyz Educational Forum has set the stage for enhanced collaboration between educational institutions of Russia and Kyrgyzstan, with approximately 70 universities participating.
The 2nd Russian-Kyrgyz Educational Forum, held in Bishkek, features the participation of Evgeniya Karlovskaya, Rector of Belgorod State University, who signed an updated cooperation agreement with a major Kyrgyz university. The forum, hosted by several key universities, focuses on the role of Russian and Kyrgyz institutions in economic development and collaboration with industry.
Approximately 70 universities from both countries were represented. The opening ceremony included notable attendees such as Edil Baisalov, Deputy Chairman of the Kyrgyz Cabinet, and Sergey Vakunov, Russian Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan. They emphasized the importance of international cooperation in fields like medicine, engineering, and IT, along with the need to modernize curricula and promote research commercialization.
The forum featured a panel discussion on collaboration between universities and industrial partners, followed by roundtable discussions. Karlovskaya moderated a session on "Business as a Qualified Customer," addressing the role of industrial partners in education quality and innovative collaboration models.
A key highlight of the Forum’s first day was the signing of an updated cooperation agreement between Evgeniya Karlovskaya, Rector of Belgorod State University, and Kudaiberdi Kozhobekov, Rector of Osh State University. Karlovskaya noted on her Telegram channel that Osh State University is effectively implementing a “university-science-industry-commercialization” model. The collaboration will extend beyond joint educational programs to include research projects that benefit the economies of both Russia and Kyrgyzstan.
For the context. The II Russian-Kyrgyz Educational Forum is organized by Rossotrudnichestvo, the Ministry of Science, Higher Education, and Innovation of Kyrgyzstan, Kostroma State Agricultural Academy, and B.N. Yeltsin Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University, with support from the Russian Presidential Administration and the Kyrgyz Cabinet of Ministers. The Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund will play a vital role in facilitating dialogue between educational and business communities.
