The 11th International Pharmaceutical Innovation Camp, FILIN-2025, recently took place in Yaroslavl, Russia.
This year’s theme, “Pharmacy of the Future,” attracted over 70 graduating students from 30 universities across Russia and Belarus. Belgorod National Research University (BelSU) was proudly represented by fifth-year students Margarita Litvinova and Elizaveta Besedina.
“This week was a true immersion into the world of the modern pharmaceutical market,” Margarita shared. “We didn’t just attend lectures; we connected with our future employers and gained insights into how the industry operates from the inside. The packed daily program offered us a unique experience, including a visit to the Laboratory of the Federal Service for Surveillance in Healthcare, where we observed the quality control system first-hand.”
Participants also explored full-cycle biotech production and learned about career opportunities and social policies of large enterprises in the pharmacology industry. A particularly relevant session addressed cyber hygiene in the pharmaceutical sector, while students tackled challenging yet engaging cases from a large pharmaceutical plant and a Russia-wide pharmacy chain, allowing them to apply their knowledge practically.
They further deepened their understanding of retail chain operations during a lecture by the pharmacy chain on private label products.
“We witnessed high-tech production at the pharm plant, touring the workshops, logistics areas, and analytical labs,” Elizaveta noted. Participating in FILIN has proven to be a powerful catalyst for professional growth, equipping students with relevant knowledge and helping to shape their career paths. BelSU students expressed their gratitude to the organizers, faculty, and partner companies for providing this invaluable opportunity.
