The project titled “Organizational, Technical, and Analytical Support for the Development of Scientific and Educational Cooperation with African Countries in Promoting the Russian Language and Culture” has successfully concluded under a state assignment from the Russian Ministry of Education and Science.
Final events were held at universities in Angola, Mozambique, and Namibia, where students from the intensive Learning Russian with Belgorod State University (BelSU) Russian language course showcased their newly acquired skills and received certificates confirming their completion of the program. During the visit of the BelSU delegation, the Russian Embassy in Maputo received a request to establish ongoing Russian language courses in Mozambique.
The classrooms at Welwitchia University in Windhoek, the Faculty of Humanities at Agostinho Neto University in Luanda, and Eduardo Mondlane University in Maputo buzzed with celebration, academic achievement, and international camaraderie. This occasion transcended a mere graduation ceremony; it served as a vibrant testament to the educational and cultural bridge being built between two continents. The significance of the project was underscored by a distinguished list of attendees, including Sam Shafiishuna Nujoma, Governor of the Khomas Region; Mr. Paulus Shetekela, the Russian Ambassador for Education; Deputy Rector Ms. Ndamona Kauluma; Nikita Solovyov, Attaché of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Angola; Mr. Feliciano Moreiro Bastos, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities; Ms. Teresa Tualuntu Teiqueira, Director of the Library Department; and Mr. Francisco Jacos Kahuku Quimbanda, Vice-Dean; along with Mr. Nelson Ernesto, Dean of the Faculty of Languages at Eduardo Mondlane University in Mozambique.
