Anzhelika Bashmina has made headlines by winning the gold medal at the national arm-wrestling tournament held in Chelyabinsk.
The Russian Arm-wrestling Championship brought together 69 of the strongest athletes with visual impairments from 31 regions across the country. After several days of intense competition, Anzhelika Bashmina, a graduate of the Physical Education Department at Belgorod National Research University (BelSU) and an athlete at the Vershina Adaptive Sports Centre, emerged as the champion in the 60 kg weight class.
The Belgorod Region team also performed admirably, securing second place in the overall team standings. Anzhelika’s success is a testament to her hard work and dedication, training under the expert guidance of coach Mikhail Filatov.
