The Youth Climate Week conference and school, held at Sirius University, brought together young scientists, students, and activists from across the country to address pressing environmental challenges.
Students from Belgorod National Research University (BelSU) have presented their research at a major federal event focused on climate and environmental issues.
Students from the BelSU Institute of Earth Sciences took part in an intensive programme of lectures and practical scientific activities. They attended talks by leading climate scientists and experts, with sessions dedicated to contemporary climate challenges, global warming and strategies for adapting to environmental change.
During the poster session within the Terrestrial Ecosystems programme, master's students in ecology Anna Spesivtseva and Elizaveta Katunina presented their research findings. Their work, centred on the conservation and study of natural systems, drew considerable interest from colleagues representing other regions.
The week culminated in a project defence in the Water and Green Infrastructure category. Student Polina Blagochevskaya collaborated with a team on a landscape project aimed at greening the Sirius federal territory. During the defence, participants demonstrated a deep understanding of modern approaches to solving environmental problems in urban environments.
