The University commemorated Great Patriotic War with a large‑scale historical dictation event.
The annual Victory Dictation, an event dedicated to the memory of the Great Patriotic War, took place at Belgorod National Research University, bringing together more than 250 in‑person participants.
According to Inna Kuznetsova, Director of the Centre for Youth Initiatives, this marked the sixth time BelSU has hosted the event. Representatives from the Belgorod Customs Office also came to the university to test their knowledge of the war.
The 2026 edition was held in a special context, dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the start of the Great Patriotic War and the 130th anniversary of the birth of Marshal Georgy Zhukov, one of the Soviet Union’s most celebrated military commanders.
To prepare, participants had access to practice exercises available after registering on the official Victory Dictation website. Upon completion, all attendees received personalised certificates, with results later published in their personal accounts on the event’s official website.
For reference: The international Victory Dictation was organised by the United Russia political party, the Russian Historical Society, the Russian Military Historical Society, and the Victory Volunteers movement, with support from Rosobrnadzor, Rossotrudnichestvo, the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia, and the Russian Union of Veterans.
