Belgorod State University strengthens national standing, appearing in seven subject rankings in prestigious TUM ecosystem.
Belgorod National Research University (BelSU) has significantly expanded its presence in the latest edition of the Three University Missions subject rankings, securing places in seven of the 35 disciplines assessed – a notable jump from five in the previous year.
Published by the RAEX rating agency, the fifth edition of the TUM rankings features 165 leading universities from more than 40 regions across Russia, including three institutions from the Belgorod Region alone. The results place BelSU among the top 20 universities in the country across all seven of its ranked subjects.
The university improved its standing in four disciplines, returned to the rankings in Linguistics and Foreign Languages as well as Pedagogy, and – for the first time – broke into the Political Science and International Relations category.
The national picture remains dominated by Moscow and St. Petersburg, which together account for 65 of the ranked institutions. The Tatarstan region of Russia follows with nine universities.
BelSU Rector Evgeniya Karlovskaya described the results as meaningful validation. Writing on her Telegram channel, she called the rankings “important feedback from the professional community,” signalling that the university’s academic trajectory is being noticed – and that its growing profile in fields like international relations and linguistics is particularly relevant for students weighing where to study.| << Back to the list |
