Photo project of federal importance at BelSU

The meeting, which has taken place on the university square and brought together several hundreds of people, became a prolog for the opening of the photo exhibition "Heroes of Russia as nobody has seen them before" by Memory of Generations Charity Foundation.

Heroes of the photo project are brave people who participated in counter-terrorist operations and peacekeeping missions showing courage and heroism, fulfilled an international duty and have liquidated technogenic catastrophes, conquered space and the North Pole.

The photo exhibition was created by the Memory of Generations Charity Foundation. Its president is the glorified woman-pilot, the astronaut, the Hero of the Soviet Union Valentina Tereshkova. It was organized for the 25th anniversary of establishment of the Hero of Russia rank.

– This is a great honor for our university, to open the movement of this exhibition through Belgorod region. This is a confirmation of huge work on military patriotic education, which is conducted at faculties and at institutes of our university, - the principal of BelSU Oleg Polukhin said in his welcoming speech.

To celebrate the opening of the exhibition, the participants of meeting have released balloons symbolizing "the Hero's Star" and the Russian tricolor into the sky.

After the meeting, the ceremonial opening of an exposition was held at the Youth Cultural Center. The heroes of a photo exhibition who have arrived to Belgorod have told about their decision to take part in such bright project.
