Angelica Bashmina, from the Pedagogical Institute's Pre-School, Primary and Special Needs Education Faculty, went to Poland and won Arm-Wrestling gold
Rumia, in North-Western Poland, hosted the World Cup in Arm-Wrestling for the Visually Impaired. Ms Bashmina disposed of the competition on her way to the final where she defeated a Polish rival, who weighed 50kg more than her. Her astonishing and entertaining victory brought the audience to its feet.
At the Professional event BNRU alumna, Elizaveta Reshetnik, who graduated in the summer, took home silvers in the Left Arm and the Right Arm competitions, losing out to her nemesis, Snezhana Babayeva, the Slovakian multiple World Cup winner.
