Belgorod State University developing cooperation with the Serbian Academy of Arts and Sciences and the University of Belgrade

Elena Litovchenko, the Head of the Chair of Universal History of Belgorod National Research University and Associate Professor Elena Semicheva visited the University of Belgrade (Serbia) to participate in a training course “Innovation in Modern Education: Interaction, Exchange of Experience, Technology” as well as to meet with Serbian colleagues from the Institute for Byzantine Studies of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts to discuss areas and forms of international cooperation.

The researchers from Belgorod State University presented an overview of Belgorod University to their Serbian colleagues, spoke about the specifics of scientific and academic activities of the Faculty of History and Philology and suggested several possible areas of cooperation.

The dialogue participants came to the conclusion that the scientific field “Classical and Byzantine Tradition” may serve as a basis for further joint projects.

As a result, the parties agreed to promote international scholarly events related to Antiquities and Byzantine Studies, prepare joint scientific publications and invite Serbian colleagues and students to participate in the international school “Persona et Verbum”.
