The 5th International Scientific and Practical Conference “Spatial Development of Territories”, organised by the Department of Applied Economics and Economic Security of the Institute of Economics and Management, was held at Belgorod State University.
About a hundred scientists from Russia, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and other countries participated in the forum via videoconferencing. Elena Stryabkova, the Head of the Department of Applied Economics and Economic Security, welcomed the participants.
One of the topics related to new forms of spatial organisation of economy was concerned Belgorod and Belgorod region. Alexander Titov, the Head of Information Security Projects at “Radius”, spoke about the best practices of the Program of Belgorod Digital Transformation. Denis Deduchenko, the Deputy Head of Shakhty City Administration, spoke about a practice-oriented approach to implementing strategic documents.
Emphasis was placed on the research by Vasilisa Gorochnaya, a Candidate of Economic Sciences of the Southern Federal University, who spoke about self-organisation processes in social and economic development of the Russian Black Sea region.
While summing up the conference results, Elena Stryabkova underlined that the conference discussion had been mutually beneficial both for the scientific community and the representatives of authorities and business, and invited the participants to cooperate in the framework of BelSU Territorial Strategic Planning and Business Analytics Centre, opened at the department under the “Prioritet-2030” strategic development programme.
